Emergency crews responded with the Jaws of Life, after a head-on collision on Highway 132 west of Highway 49 near Coulterville.
It happened just before 7pm Friday evening.
There were reports of severe injuries from the collision, but no specifics have been released by official sources yet.
Both lanes of the highway were blocked for over an hour.
There´s no word on the cause of the wreck, the number of injured victims, or the extent of the injuries.
