July Caltrans Road Work

Several Caltrans road projects will impact traffic in the Mother Lode this week, July 5th to the 11th 2026.

On Highway 4 one-way traffic control at Little Johns Creek for bridge work is planned for Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 4 a long-term right shoulder closure from Gardener Lane Bridge to Depot Road for pavement will continue through Friday, July 17th.

On Highway 4 one-way traffic control from Lower Moran Road to Horseshoe Drive for survey work is scheduled for Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

On Highway 4 one-way traffic control from Avery Hotel Road to Lakemont Drive for pavement work beginning Tuesday through Thursday,  from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

On Highway 26 traffic control at Stone Corral Creek for bridge work beginning Monday and continuing through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

On Highway 26 one-way traffic control from Indian Creek to Heinemann Lane for drainage work beginning Monday through Wednesday, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 26 one-way traffic control at approximately .5 miles west of Ridge Road for tree work on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Also on Highway 26 more one-way traffic control for tree work from Hamburg Creek Road to Stanely Road on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

On Highway 26 one-way traffic control from Route 49/Mokelumne Hill to Buckeye Lane for tree work on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and more one-way traffic control at Ridge Road for tree work on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

On Highway 49 overnight, one-way traffic control from Sam’s Way to Copello Drive for excavation work beginning Monday through Friday, from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

On Highway 49 one-way traffic control from Gold Rush Lane to Calaveras/Amador County line for guardrail repairs on Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

On Highway 49 intermittent traffic breaks for sign/banner work at Birds Way on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

On Highway 108 overnight, one-way traffic control between Coffil Road and Long Barn Road for pavement work is planned Monday through Friday from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

On Highway 108 one-way traffic control between 8,000-foot elevation marker and the 9,000-foot elevation marker for drainage work on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 108 one-way traffic control between Crab Tree Road and Camp Blue Road for drainage work beginning Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 108 one-way traffic control between Leland Meadow Road and East Cow Creek Road for drainage work beginning Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 108 one-way traffic control between Chief Fuller Road and Sierra Road in Mi-Muk Village for drainage work on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Ponderosa Land and the eastbound turnout lane for drainage work beginning Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Scofield Street and the eastbound turnout lane for drainage work on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Groveland Creek Bridge and Elder Road for drainage work on Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between the Chinese Camp Railroad crossing and Chinese Creek for drainage work on Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Smiths Station Road and the Groveland Ranger District office for drainage work on Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Elmor Road and the Groveland Ranger District office for drainage work on Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

On Highway 120 one-way traffic control between Saw Mill Mountain Road and the west boundary of Yosemite National Park for a crack seal operation beginning Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment availability, and/or construction-related issues.
