Yet Another Record for Gas Prices

Another record has been set… but it´s not a good record.

AAA of northern California says the price of gasoline has hit a new record high: $2.20 per gallon of regular unleaded.

The blame is going to the increased price of crude oil, high consumption of gas, and the drop in production by OPEC.

But experts say there are ways consumers can fight back. First, shop around for the lowest price. Sometimes even driving a few extra blocks can save as much as fourteen cents a gallon. Second, don´t fill up on premium grade fuel unless your car´s manual says it needs the higher octane.

And finally, check your tire pressure, even if they look fine. Ensuring proper inflation can cut your gas bill by as much as ten percent.
