Third Weekend in July Events

It is the third weekend in July, and there are several events planned for July 18th and 19th, 2026.

The Sierra Bigfoot Festival will provide three days of music, Friday through Sunday, including art and festivities at Eproson Park in Twain Harte. Event organizers detail there will be over 20 bands and singer songwriters, many artisan makers and vendors, foot trucks, bakers, belly dancers, fire performers, face painting and more. The Bigfoot Symposium is on Sunday from 11AM – 2PM. Buy tickets here.

The Murphys Homecoming will take place this Friday from 7 – 9 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to – 5 PM. Friday night activities include an ice cream social. On Saturday, the fun filled family day includes duck races, live music from the Calaveras Community Band, activities for kids, an old timers luncheon, cornhole and more.

The Calaveras Senior Providers’ Network is hosting a “Well Together: Health Across Generations” conference at the San Andreas town hall. The focus is on three areas of family wellbeing, Nutrition, Mental Health and Physical Health. The conference is scheduled for this Friday from 9 AM – 3 PM. Coffee, fruit and donuts will be provided in the morning and lunch at noon. Anyone who would like to attend is invited as detailed here.

Friday is Movie Night in at the Tuolumne Branch Library hosted by Tuolumne Parks and Recreation District. This Friday the movie shown is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids at 8:30 PM with free admission supported by concession stand sales, bench seating is available, or bring your beach chairs and blankets for the grass seating area. The 33rd annual Bear Valley Music Festival is celebrating America 250 with three weeks of music from classic rock to a symphony orchestra planned as detailed here. This Saturday Mustache Harbor takes the stage playing music from the 1970s and 80s. Sunday a tribute band Petty Theft will perform music from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2026 Summer Concert Series at Eproson Park, every Saturday night from 6 – 8 PM. This Saturday Gotcha Covered will perform, view the event listing here for the list of musicians featured this season. The concerts are free, bring your chairs and picnics, but blankets are not allowed on the lawn. Later in the evening at 8 PM nearby at Local Press, Justice Ramos will perform. Fresh produce, handmade goods, unique treasures from local farmers, artisans, and young entrepreneurs will be found at local farmers’ markets: The Twain Harte Mountain Air Market continues weekly on Thursdays from 4 – 7 PM at Eproson Park. Tonight the music is by Gaby Castro. Sun Poppy Markets & Events and Peitra Rice report emails claiming an affiliation with Twain Harte Mountain Air Market have been reported to her and to use caution. This Friday is the Angels Camp Farmers’ Market from 4:30 – 7:30 PM at Utica Park with music by The Fabulous Off Brothers. Saturday morning the Sonora Farmers Market will be open from 7:30 – 11 AM.

The Sonora Chamber of Commerce is planning a second Information Night on Saturday from 6– 8 PM, inside of the Sonora Opera Hall. There will be experts from the NorCal Soap Box Derby organization to answer questions about the race, what folks can expect on a race day (no date for a Sonora Race has been picked yet), race car kits, building requirements, safety guidelines, and much more.

Grace Hills Covenant Church in Angels Camp is hosting a free 1613 Men’s Conference, “Real Faith Forged in the Real World.” Details are here.

Willie Nelson will be at Ironstone in Murphys Sunday at 6 PM, tickets are still available. 

It is the last weekend for Sierra Reparatory Theater’s performances of “Don’t Touch That Dial!” a musical comedy with TV theme songs and mayhem is at the Fallon House location in Columbia through July 19.

The Sonora Moose Lodge is hosting a Yard Sale. The event is open to public at 9 AM, tables for non members are available for a fee and members can set one up for free. Lunch will be for sale from 11 AM – 2 PM as detailed here.

There is a multi-family yard sale on Middle Camp Road Friday through Sunday from 7:30 AM – 4 PM as detailed in our classifieds here.

Calaveras County Arts Council presents the Music in the Parks Summer Concert Series at a different park each week. Next week, Wednesday July 22 from 6:30 – 8 PM, bring your favorite food, beverages, blankets and lawn chairs to the free Black Irish Band performance at Turner Park in San Andreas.

West Side Memorial Park in downtown Tuolumne City will have a Wednesday evening concert as well, the market opens at 5 PM with swing and soul music by The Blowbacks from 6 PM – 8 PM. On Wednesday July Twenty-Second, the group The Blowbacks will perform swing and soul.
