The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department conducted an enforcement sweep in Valley Springs on Friday.
A meth lab was seized, and ten suspects were arrested on charges ranging from possessing and manufacturing a controlled substance to reckless driving, resisting arrest, and violating parole.
Also, officers engaged in a short vehicle pursuit, after which they arrested 21-year-old Lee Smith.
Officials say the suspects are all between 21 and 44 years old, and six of them are from Valley Springs.
Not all of the suspects have been booked yet, and the Calaveras County Narcotics Enforcement Unit is handling the investigation.
The sweep was reported to be in response to an increase in drug traffic and gang violence in the area.
