Update at 3:13 pm: The forward progress of the fire has been stopped at approximately 15 acres. Crews will remain in the area mopping up and reaching full containment.
Update at 2:43 pm: The size of the fire has been updated to ten acres. Additionally, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that drivers avoid the area due to the presence of first responders and is reminding people that, even though no evacuation orders or warnings have been issued, they should leave if they feel unsafe.
Original story posted at 2:17 pm: Jamestown, CA– Fire resources have responded to a vegetation fire located near New Peroia Flat Road and Tulloch Lake Estates Road in the Jamestown area. The fire has been named the Line Fire and is reportedly close to 5 acres in size. CAL FIRE is reporting that good progress is being made towards containing the fire.
