San Andreas, CA — The board of supervisors in Calaveras County will have its first meeting of September this morning.
A main item on the agenda is hearing a presentation and holding a related public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2026-27 recommended budget. The board is then anticipated to direct staff to return on September 22 with the final document for approval. Today’s meeting will feature an overview and a discussion about related recommendations.
The board will also vote on resolutions declaring September as both Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and Recovery Happens Month.
There will also be a proclamation recognizing the American Red Cross and the numerous volunteers who provided assistance during the Gann Fire between August 3-12.
Today’s meeting starts at 9 am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
