It was something of a party in Tuolumne yesterday as the latest local library branch opened officially to the public.
“Oh, it´s thrilling. It´s just such a wonderful day. We´re really excited and really pleased with how well it came together.”
The Director of Library Services for Tuolumne County is Connie Corcoran.
She says, for the people of Tuolumne, “it means that they have a full-service branch library that will be open a minimum of 20 hours a week and has access to about 7000 books immediately, and the rest of the collections in the whole county. And they´ve got 3 public computers available to them.”
The library also received donations from area businesses for additional library books and equipment at the grand opening on Main Street yesterday
