Reptiles Stolen From Mark Twain Elementary

A thief over the weekend at Mark Twain Elementary School in Calaveras County didn´t take computers or expensive teaching tools.

Three snakes, including one ball python, and two bearded dragons were taken Monday.

Three windows were broken, according to a report, along with several aquariums in a science classroom.

Science teacher Ken Swanner says the animals aren´t dangerous, but they were pretty big.

The ball python, for instance, is apparently five feet long.

Officials also say the school´s mascot, a stuffed badger, was stolen too.

No word yet on suspects… or if the animals will be replaced.
