After the defeat of Proposition 72, the health care referendum, on Tuesday, California farm and business groups say they´ll turn their attention toward long-term solutions.
Roy Gaberiel is the director of labor policy for the California Farm Bureau.
He says all parties are going to now work together to create an affordable health care plan.
“I think it´s time for the legislature and employers in this state, farmers, ranchers, business, industry, to sit down tgether to try to reduce health care cost and enact legislation to help employers afford to offer coverage to more Californians,” Gaberiel says.
Business organizations had opposed Prop 72, saying it would have created a government run health care system.
