It was a liberal turn out for Senator Barbara Boxer in Sonora Tuesday afternoon.
Boxer spoke to supporters, and even gave away T-shirts and Barbara Boxer 2004 Boxer shorts, at Banny´s Restaurant in Old Towne Sonora.
Boxer mentioned nearly every campaign issue during her speech, which lasted just over ten minutes.
“I believe, at the end of the day, people want the same things. They want to breathe clean air and drink clean water. They want to have beautiful places to visit, to go to, to live in. They want to know their children can get a quality public education,” Boxer said Tuesday.
Boxer also mentioned the rains, while hindering her travels, are a good thing for the firefighters.
“This weather, while it´s been tough for us travelling, but it´s a blessing to have the end of fire season.”
She´s competing against Republican candidate Bill Jones for the seat on the U.S. Senate November 2nd.
