The Hazardous Materials team responded early Thursday afternoon to a report of a diesel spill behind Longs Drugs in Angels Camp.
The diesel was reportedly coming from a delivery truck.
The Angels Camp Police Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire protection responded to the call just before 12:30 Thursday afternoon.
Officials at the scene said they were working to keep the diesel from spilling into the storm drain.
There´s no official word yet on how much diesel was spilled.
