A single-vehicle car accident left one person dead last night.
The California Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Jeffrey Giliana was showing his new 2004 Honda to two of his friends.
The trio was driving on Columbia College Drive west of Sawmill Flat Road… just after 10:30pm last night.
The CHP says Giliana was going about 60 miles per hour, when he looked to his front passenger and missed a bend in the road.
The car reportedly hit several trees… and the car´s backseat passenger suffered fatal injuries.
The CHP hasn´t released the victim´s name, although we do know the victim is a 19-year-old from Madera.
20-year-old Angela Shaw was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver, Giliana, was not seriously injured.
