Sutter, CA — The Summerville Bears and Bret Harte Bullfrogs were both defeated in the CIF Sac Joaquin Division 5 volleyball playoffs on Tuesday evening.
Summerville (15-12) traveled to Sutter County to face the top-seeded Sutter Huskies (34-5). It was a hard-fought match, and the Bears fell 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, and 27-25).
Bret Harte (24-6) traveled to Grass Valley to face second-seeded Bear River 34-7). The Bullfrogs were also defeated 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, and 25-23).
Sutter and Bear River will now meet on Saturday for the Division 5 Section Title.
The CIF State playoff brackets will be announced the following day, Sunday.
