A retired sawmill worker won´t have to worry about getting by on Social Security anymore after winning big in the California lottery.
Lottery officials haven´t released the winner´s name yet, but says he´s elected to take his winnings in a single payment. After taxes, the lucky winner will receive a lump sum payment of $23 million.
The state´s newest millionaire is from the Tulare County town of Lindsay. He bought his ticket at a gas station in Coachella.
