County officials are looking for ideas and public input on developing a Tuolumne County Public Trails and Bikeways Plan.
This evening, the first in a series of workshops will be held. David Van Dyken with County Public Works says they are trying to put together a comprehensive plan for bikeways, walkways and equestrian trails “in a manner to make Tuolumne County competitive to receive grant funding to build and maintain these trails,” Van Dyken said
He added the county´s Recreational Master Plan includes a number of trails for this type activity.
Tuesday´s meeting is in the 3rd floor Public Works Conference Room in the Albert Francisco Building across from the old courthouse in downtown Sonora. The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m.
