The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors were told Tuesday that all of their meetings for the past few years were allegedly illegal.
The board members were served with a civil complaint saying they ignored a century-old county code. The code required them to carry out all public business in the courthouse. Members have been meeting four Tuesdays a month in the new government building a block away.
Board member Bob Pickard says the complaint is ridiculous. The county´s attorney has assured members the board has been operating legally.
