Back in action again…CDF air tanker, helicopter and spotter plane – all from the Columbia Air Attack Base – have been dispatched to battle a wildland fire this afternoon. The blaze is reported burning in the Highway 49 area of El Dorado County near the gold discovery site of Coloma State Park.
A strike team of local firefighters and fire engines has been dispatched to El Dorado County to cover fire stations there. A spokesman from the CDF fire dispatch center in San Andreas says those firefighters are not, at this time, going to fight that fire.
