The State Assembly has added family planning clinics to a list of facilities protected from insurance policy cancellations after hate crimes. The bill says insurance companies can´t cancel or not renew policies, or dramatically raise premiums after such crimes occur.
Such protection is already extended to religious and educational facilities.
The bill now goes to the Senate.
