A bill that supporters say would play a key role in controlling the skyrocketing costs of treating job related injuries has been approved unanimously by a State Senate committee.
The measure by Senator Richard Alarcon of Van Nuys would impose fee schedules prescribing what hospitals, pharmacies, so-called outpatient surgical centers, doctors and other health care providers should charge for treating workers´ compensation patients.
