Local health departments have gotten the go-ahead to resume vaccinating health care workers against smallpox. California state health director Diana Bonta says the vaccinations can resume on April seventh. The state had suspended the program for a week after the vaccine was thought to be connected to the deaths of three health care workers nationwide.
