The Assembly Committee on Transportation Monday passed legislation that will create a license plate honoring the memory of the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King Junior and United Farm Workers Founder Cesar Chavez. That measure passed by a 12-0 vote.
Money collected from the sale of the special plates will support Extended Opportunity Programs and Service€™s at community colleges throughout California.
