An escaped Sierra Conservation Center inmate has been captured in Southern California.
Jerry Underwood spokesman with the Jamestown correction facility says Robert Michael Judd was taken into custody in Buena Park Sunday morning after being arrested for possession of a controled substance for sale.
He now faces charges in Buena Park and will be returned to Tuolumne County to face felony escape charges.
The 30-year-old Judd escaped from the Jamestown prison Jan 10th. He was serving a 6 year sentence for battery on peace officer when he walked off from a minimum security work detail.
Underwood did not have details on the arrest, or could say why Judd was in Southern California, other than he is originally from Orange County.
Underwood says Judd is a two strikes inmate and could face 25 year´s to life in prison if convicted of the current charges now against him.
