Activities in the Stanislaus National Forest can now be tracked with a new on-line database.
Pat Kaunert with the forest service Sonora headquarters says their new “WildCad” or computer aided dispatch web site provides basic, real-time data such as prescribed burn locations and ignition times, active wildfires, law enforcement and other forest service activities.
Two other agencies participate in the system — the Sequoia National Forest and the Owens Valley Interagency Dispatch Center.
The web address is www.wildcad.net.
