Clear skies, deep snow and a holiday only created problems for motorists on roadways leading out of Dodge Ridge yesterday afternoon.
Thousands of skiers, snowboarders and visitors up for the holiday to play in the snow, clogged westbound Highway 108 late yesterday.
Dodge Ridge ski area owner Frank Helm told Tuolumne County Sheriff dispatchers yesterday they had a huge traffic problem and needed additional traffic control to get cars out of Pinecrest and onto the highway.
