Firefighters are at the scene of a propane gas line leak at Greenley and Cabezut roads in Sonora. A crew working for Moyle Construction doing excavating work in that area hit the three-inch diameter propane gas line there around 1:30 p.m. Crews from the propane company are trying to stop the leaking gas.
Kary Hubbard with the county fire department says gas service to about 1,000 Pro-Flame customers in the Greenley basin has now been shut off while crews make repairs to the pipe.
Fire officials say the gas will likely be off until Friday morning.
Hubbard says pilot lights will have to be re-lit once gas service from the line is restored. She suggests working through the apartment complex managers.
