No Injuries in Twain Harte Pipe Bombing, Investigation Begins

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s office says the pipe bomb at the post office in Twain Harte exploded just before midnight in the parking lot.

Luckily, there was only minor damage to some paint on the building.

There were no injuries reported and no word on when the post office might be re-opened. That´s because it still has to be checked out by the Postal Inspector, ATF and a bomb squad.

There´s also been no connection to last month´s Calaveras County Government Center pipe bombing. No one was injured in that blast either, and the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is asking for anonymous tips from anyone who has information about the June 30 incident.

If you have information about the blast in San Andreas, call 772-2553. You don´t have to give your name.
