Democratic governors from other states are planning to send money to Governor Davis to help him defeat the recall.
Washington State Governor Gary Locke is chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, which has pledged to send cash to Davis. Locke says many members of his group will also campaign in California on Davis´ behalf.
Locke says most states are facing economic problems similar to California´s, and that Davis shouldn´t bear the blame for the situation.
