California Republican Party chairman Duf Sundheim rejected assertions made by Davis in his address last night. He says the speech showed “the governor still isn´t listening to the people of California.”
Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon said he was disappointed Davis did not take responsibility for the state´s problems, but blamed others.
