California´s Congressional Democrats endorsed Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante´s motto of “No on recall, yes on Bustamante” today. They effectively rejected the initial anti-recall strategy of Governor Davis, who sought to unite the party behind a Davis-or-nobody message. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren calls Bustamante highly qualified to lead the state should a vacancy occur.
