The CDF says the wind has shifted and smoke from about 8,000 acres of controlled burns in the Stanislaus National Forest has people socked in around Murphys´.

The four fires aren´t threatening any structures, and will likely burn until there´s snow or enough rain to put them out.

Those fires are being monitored.
