Authorities expect more smoke across the Mother Lode today from the controlled burns in the Stanislaus National Forest.
The California Department of Forestry in San Andreas says there are about four fires burning on about 8,000 acres. The blazes aren´t threatening any structures.
The forest fires will probably burn until the first snow falls or there´s enough rain to put them out. The fires are being closely monitored.
