Jamestown Man Burned In Crash

A 31 year-old Jamestown man is in serious condition after a fiery crash on Highway 108 last evening.

CHP officer Tom Wills says the driver of the 1994 Dodge pickup, David Guldner, for unknown reasons, allowed his truck to drift off the roadway. It struck several trees and burst into flames.

The accident happened just before 6 p.m last night and was on the eastbound lanes of the highway near the “Rock Shop” curve, about half way between Jamestown and Oakdale.

When firefighters arrived the truck was fully engulfed in flames. Passing motorists pulled Guldner out of his burning truck.

A Mediflight helicopter was landed on the highway to transport the Guldner to Doctors´ Hospital in Modesto. He was later transferred to the UC Davis Burn Center.
