Congressman George Radanovich is praising the progress a bill to improve and restore facilities at Yosemite National Park.
The bill HR 2715 includes restoration of the low-impact campgrounds at the upper and lower river sites damaged by the 1997 floods, adds more parking at Camp 6, relocates some visitor services, employee housing and other administrative operations outside the park boundaries, provides housing and transportation for park employees and restores the grounds and removes the Le Conte Memorial.
The Republican congressman from Mariposa chairs the subcommittee that passed that bill this week.
