It is election day in California and the Mother Lode and polls are now open. Topping the ballot locally is the race for three Tuolumne Utilities District board seats. Two incumbents and three challengers are vying for the board spots. The Groveland Community Services district, Tuolumne Sanitary District and numerous School boards seats are also up for grabs in Tuolumne County Today.
In Calaveras County ,candidates are running to fill board seats on both the Ebbetts pass and Murphys fire protection districts.
Voters in Modesto face major decisions today as well. The mayor is running for a second term, and there are three city council seats up for grabs. Ceres and Merced voters are also electing city officials, and voters in many school districts around the Northern San Joaquin Valley are deciding school board races and bond measures.
