Starting next week, the Forest Service will conduct two public meetings to gather comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Larson Reforestation and Fuels Reduction project:
The first session will be held on Wednesday, November 12, at the Groveland Ranger District Office, on Highway 120 in Groveland. This public hearing gets underway at 7 p.m.
The second session will be held on Thursday, November 13, at the Stanislaus National Forest Supervisors Sonora Office, on Greenley Road at 7 p.m.
An U.S. Forest Service spokesman says the meetings are intended to provide information, assist members of the public and local communities in understanding what actions are being proposed, how to navigate through the DEIS document, and how to participate in a meaningful way in the planning effort during the comment period.
