Retailers have kicked off the holiday shopping season with the usual gimmicks, including early bird specials and expanded shopping hours.
Shoppers were on the prowl for bargains early Friday morning. Long lines of bargain hunters waited outside for stores to open, Including the Sonora Wal-Mart.
Wal Mart Assistant store manager “J-B” said she didn´t know exactly how many people had waited for doors to open a 6 a.m., but said it took about 25 minutes for everyone to get into the store.
Retail experts are looking for one of the best holiday shopping seasons in several years. The National Retail Federation is forecasting a sales jump of nearly six percent this year.
