The two Calaveras County women shot and killed Tuesday by a neighbor have been identified.
Sheriff´s investigators say arriving deputies found Annette Truman and Leslie Hannameyer of Wallace dead, and 63-year-old Peter Chiesa held-up in his home next door.
Spokesperson Debi Parsons says Chiesa called and told dispatchers he was going to “shoot his neighbors because they were going to cut down a tree.”
Calaveras County deputies took Chiesa into custody after a 3 hour standoff just before 2 p.m. yesterday.
The neighbors had been involved in an ongoing dispute over a property easement.
