California officials have received boxes of documents including e-mail between Perot Systems employees. The e-mail reportedly shows Edison International was approached in 1997 about profiting from problems in California´s energy market. Officials are investigating the role of Dallas-based Perot Systems in advising energy companies accused of gouging California purchasers. The documents could help California in its bid to have the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission order refunds, from nine billion dollars in what it says are market overcharges. Ross Perot, the former Reform Party presidential candidate, is expected to testify before California legislators next month.
