An eight-hour standoff ended early this morning in Fairfield when police used tear gas to chase a parole violator out of a house. Oliver Wendell Anderson was taken into custody shortly before 2 a.m. A woman and her two children escaped from the house after Anderson allegedly broke in yesterday afternoon.
