Calaveras County Sheriff deputies were shot at by a Copperopolis man Sunday as they responded to a domestic violence call on the 31-hundred block of Beaver Road.
As deputies arrived at the scene they heard gunshots coming from the Jarrett residence. One bullet hit a patrol car. The deputies did not return fire.
The SWAT team was called in and after lengthy negotiations, 41 year-old Randy Jarrett surrendered to officers. There were no injuries.
Jarrett was booked into Calaveras County jail on attempted murder, spousal battery and assault on peace officers with a firearm. Bail is set at $640,000.
