According to California Division of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman Sharron Torrance firefighters have contained the new Darby fire to about 1 acre. Torrance says five fire engines and a helicopter are still at the scene of the wildfire off Darby Road in Avery.
She says they expect full control of the fire by 7:30 this evening.
