Out-of-state students may have to pay hundreds of dollars more for tuition this fall at California State University under a proposal by the 23-campus system. C-S-U trustees are set to vote today on the proposal, which would increase fees up to 15 percent for out-of-state students. It´s expected to easily pass, making it the first increase in C-S-U fees in ten years. The fee hike would still require approval by the Legislature.
The C-S-U estimates the fee increase would generate an additional eleven-point-eight million dollars.
