Tuolumne County firefighters are investigating a series of small grass fires, believed to have been deliberately set early this morning.
Passers-by reported the spot fires in sections along J-59, near Bonds Flat road. Several of them burned together at one point before crews got them surrounded. There were some initial reports of a small pickup truck and a small passenger car in the vicinity, but no specific information. If you saw anything suspicious in the area around 3:30 or so, you´re asked to call fire officials and report it.
