Two Stockton men are jailed after they led Tuolumne County deputies and Highway Patrol officers on a high speed chase from Sonora to Oakdale last evening.
Highway patrol officers were watching for the suspect vehicle after two men grabbed arm loads of clothing at Gottschalks and ran from the store. 40 year old Juan Carlos Solis was jailed after he left the car and took off on foot near Tulloch Road. Highway patrol officers say his partner, 37 year old Anthony John Babbitt led them into Oakdale at speeds up to 120 Miles per hour. He was finally arrested along 28 Mile Road after trying to escape on foot. The two are being held under 50-thousand dollars bail each on multiple charges.
