A heads up for business owners: It looks like some counterfeiters may be at work in the area. Tuolumne County deputies took reports on phony 10 and 20 dollar bills showing up at several Mother Lode businesses.

A man driving a blue Ford Taurus reportedly passed a fake 20 at the Mono Way Jack in the Box in Sonora. Other businesses reporting counterfeit bills include Wayne´s Service station in Tuolumne City, The Tuolumne Market and the Black Oak Casino.
