A shooting early this morning has left one woman dead and a man wounded on an Elk Grove residential street.
Neighbors say they heard rapid gunfire, followed by two vehicles driving away around 1:30 a.m.
Elk Grove police say they found a woman lying in the street.
The names of the shooting victims are not being released, but authorities and residents say they did not live in the area.
