Bail for a former member of the Symbionese Liberation Army was set at 500 thousand dollars, over the objections of Sacramento County prosecutors who feel Michael Bortin is a flight risk. He is facing a first-degree murder charge in the 1975 death of a Sacramento-area woman during a botched bank robbery.
