State Wants Out Of Contracts

Two state agencies plan to ask the federal government today to reform dozens of long-term electricity contracts signed at the peak of the energy crisis. The state will ask the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to find that power sellers overcharged the state by about 21 billion dollars. The contracts were signed last spring to keep electricity flowing.
