Several important community relief programs in Tuolumne County, including the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency Food Bank, received a portion of 50 thousand dollars in grants recently from the Sonora Area Foundation. The local philantrophic organization received the funds from the California Endowment.
The endowment has distributed 6 million dollars statewide to assist similar programs in response to the economic downturn in California.
